We all are familiar with the saying “Everything is bigger in Texas”, right? Well, the Texas Restaurant Show 2022 did not disappoint. WOW! What a great show! JPE was excited to once again partner with the TRA to help make this year’s show a success by providing a Diversity, Inclusion, and Bias Workshop.
In addition, JPE was the proud sponsor of the TRA inaugural Community Impact Award aimed to recognize those who go the extra mile to ensure Diversity, and more importantly Inclusion in their perspective business. As the inaugural award recipient, Ruth Thompson and Hugs café embodied the true essence of what this Community Impact Award is all about. A woman with a vision and passion for an Inclusive restaurant for customers and employees alike, Hugs Cafe employs adults with intellectual disabilities, while focusing on creating jobs to meet a person’s ability.
